As the fall season begins, we are really looking forward to re-connecting with youth who have been active in Youth Group, making new connections with youth who are entering Middle School, and sharing adventures together at Youth Group meetings, events, and trips! All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to be part of Youth Group, and our youth are encouraged to invite their friends to join us, as well. Our youth are such an important part of our church family, and spending time together is a great way to grow in Christian faith.
Our first gathering of the year is planned for Sunday, Sept. 16. And there will be many more adventures to follow!
This year’s Sunday School Kick-Off will be held on September 9th, from 9:45-10:40 a.m. We will gather for some fun games, a simple craft, and of course, snacks! Parents/grandparents are invited to stay with the children.
We want to teach the children of our church about God’s love when they are young, that those seeds might be planted in their minds and hearts. If you are a parent, grandparent, aunt/uncle, neighbor of children ages 4-12, please do all you can to make sure the children in your lives have transportation to and from Sunday School. God bless you for the investment you are making in their spiritual lives!
In addition to our Sunday School program, there will be a Confirmation Class offered for all youth in grades 7-12. That program will begin in early October. If you would like more information about that, please contact Pastor Eleanor.
The Bath Community Clothes Closet has entered its third month of operation, and is fully stocked with clothing for infants and children. As “Back-to-School” time is rapidly approaching, the volunteers leading this ministry would like to offer new underwear and socks to the BC3 clients. Cash donations would enable the volunteers to purchase a full range of sizes, so please consider making a donation to help in this effort. Envelopes for donations are available on the information table in the Narthex/Gathering Space. Volunteers are welcomed, as well. If you are interested in that, please contact Holly Gleason, Pastor Eleanor, or Kathy Putman. Thank you in advance for your ongoing support of this new and growing ministry!
